Fixed Gear Bike (Kirkland) $150
So I have a Univega 56cm (I think?) frame that has some fixed gear components on it. It was mainly built as a project bike but I dont really have any interest in it anymore so I figured someone would enjoy it. Its ready to ride except that it needs some new tires/tubes. The current ones might work but they are pretty shot so they need to be replaced. I have included the brake levers although it does not include the brake components. The wheels are 700cc. I also have some red bar tape I will be including also. It has a freewheel on the other side of the rear wheel so you can use that once you have brakes setup too. Let me know if your interested. This is a Schwinn Traveler Road Bike with 700c wheels and tires on it. I personally stripped the bike down a couple of months ago and re-painted the bike flat black. Re-gripped the bull-horn handle bars with light blue non-stick grip tape for easy removal. I also added a new front brake line that is brand new with brand new pads. Bike comes with a single front brake works great. The thing that makes the bike so special are the lime green Deep V' Velocity wheels that come with the bike. These are top of the line wheels and are perfect for any true fixie rider. They are clean and in great shape minus one scrath on front wheel, which was from previous owner. The rear wheel comes with a flip-flop hub, also perfect for fixie riders. Gears don't grind and she runs smooth. I really need this bike off my hands asap. This means I am willing to negotiate a bit on the bike so OBO. Cheers.

All products are made from industry standard Cordura, ( nylon backpack material), Sunbrella, semi truck bed tarp ,military grade Velcro and industrial webbing. Products are sewn with an industrial sewing machine using thick nylon thread.
I started making straps out of necessity and soon realized how much i enjoyed designing as well. Foothold straps and all other products are burly and made to last!!!

I’ve been riding this bike for about a year and a half back and forth from the Eastlake neighborhood to UW. I started building it in January of 2009. My goal was to enjoy the experience of building a bike from the ground up and do it as inexpensively as possible. Some of the parts I had and the rest were purchased from various sources around town or on the web. It was, in fact, an enjoyable experience… so much so, that I’d like to do it again. In order to make that happen, this one needs to go. It’s been an awesome bike. I get a lot of compliments on it. I’ve taken really good care of it during its short life. It’s has only a few scrapes in the paint on either side of the down tube and the fork from locking it in the rack. I’m 6’4”. It’s a big bike. I’ve got about $900 in it. I’d like to get $550 for it. It’s negotiable.
So, here are the specs…
Frame: 62cm Motobecane Jury track frame, horizontal dropouts, ~61cm top tube, center-to-center (tig welded steel frame purchase pretty cheaply from bikenashbar.com)
Wheels: Hand-built track wheelset, flip-flop. 36-hole with CR-18 Sun Rims… these were purchased from velo-orange.com and are bombproof.
Tires: Continental Grand Prix 700x25C.
Fenders: Planet Bike fenders, bolt on, buddy flaps (I drilled the rivets out of the factory flaps to install the buddy flaps).
Brakes: Tektro dual pivot R556 long reach brakes. This frame requires long reach brakes and can accommodate larger tires and fenders.
Brake levers: Bar-end Cane Creek 200TT.
Bars: Soma Urban Pursuit, 42cm.
Stem: Traitor poser stem – 90mm (this is a cool local company from Ferndale, WA… you should check ‘em out. www.traitorcycles.com)
Headset: Cane Creek S-3 1 1/8” threadless
Crankset: Shimano 600 170mm, self extracting bolts – these are off of a 1982 Lotus Classique which I rode until I broke the frame… my favorite part on this bike.
Bottom Bracket: IRD QB-55 JIS square taper
Seatpost: pretty generic, 27.2mm purchased from Recycled Cycle
Seat: E3 form gel.
Gears: Shimano SG 42t chainring, 18t ACS claws freewheel… there is no fixed gear or lockring on this bike but the hub is a flip-flop and will accommodate one. SRAM chain 3/32.
Pedals: MKS Sylvan road pedals (I also have velo-orange.com deep half clips I can throw in if you’re interested)

Nice riding KHS Flite 100 fixed gear bike with a few necessary upgrades from KHS’s stock bike. The stock steel chain ring and 3/32” chain where swopped out for a Sugino 42t alloy chain ring, and 1/8” chain. A Cane Creek front brake was also added. The bike will come with 15t and 17t sprockets. The 17t is currently installed.

I have some Suntour Superbe Pro cranks I'm replacing, they're 170mm, njs, clean. The only problem is the spider has a little bit of play, it doesn't spin perfectly straight. I have it with a Zen Chainring and Supertoughness chain, and it's pretty damn quiet. I'm trying to build up a base of money for another project and I'm just seeing if anyone needs these..
